This amazing tour starts and ends in Belgrade! This eventful tour will take you to the most interesting parts of Serbia where you’ll enjoy the history, culture, tradition, great food, warm hospitality, and highly comfortable accommodation.

Day 1

Airport Nikola Tesla – Belgrade (D) – (approx. 20 km)

Arrival at Belgrade Airport. After meeting the guide, transfer to the hotel and a short rest. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner in Milosev konak, the national restaurant that Milos Obrenovic, the prince of Serbia, once used personally. In recent decades, this restaurant was visited by the most eminent foreign and local dignitaries. You’ll enjoy Serbian traditional food, music and folklore dance. This is really a unique experience, one and only in Belgrade. Overnight in 4* hotel in Belgrade.

Day 2

Belgrade (BLD) (approx. 30 km)

After breakfast, we’ll take you to a guided visit to the biggest park in Belgrade – Kalemegdan Park and Kalemegdan Fortress. You’ll experience a gorgeous panoramic view at the confluence of the Sava and Danube and Novi Belgrade from the walls of the Kalemegdan Fortress from the spot perfect for photographing. Later, we’ll take a stroll to the old city of Belgrade (pedestrian zone): Knez Mihailova Street, the Republic Square, and the National Museum and Theatre. Afterward, a bus will take you to the jetty where you’ll embark on a boat for cruising the Danube and Sava rivers. With lunch and a beautiful view of the city from the river, you’ll experience something you probably haven’t experience before.  Later, we’ll take you to the main square Terazije, where you’ll visit the largest Orthodox temple in the Balkans, The Temple of Saint Sava built in the late Byzantine style. After the temple, we’ll take you to the House of Flowers (resting place of former Yugoslav president Josip Broz Tito which is a segment of the Museum of Yugoslav History complex). After the tour, free time for individual activities. Dinner in the most beautiful bohemian part of Belgrade, known as Skadarlija. This old neighborhood has remained unchanged from the times it was built, a hundred years ago. You’ll taste delicious food and the best wines in an authentic restaurant, and enjoy tambourine music.

Return to the hotel, overnight in 4* hotel in Belgrade.

Day 3

Belgarde – Maradik – Krusedol Monastery – Sremski Karlovci –Novi Sad – Belgarde (BLD) (approx. 205 km)

After early breakfast, departure to Novi Sad, the second-largest city in Serbia. Trip to National Park Fruska Gora in the south of the Province of Vojvodina. This mountain is called „Serbia’s Athos“ due to 17 Serbian medieval monasteries the mountain is embracing. We’ll take you to the Krusedol Monastery, the most important place during the history of Serbian people. Lunch in a cozy restaurant on the Danube bank near Sremski Karlovci. Later, sightseeing of this small baroque town situated on the Fruska Gora slopes, famous for its gorgeous vineyards and the high-quality wines. Wine tasting and snacks in one traditional family-owned wine cellar. Departure to Petrovaradin. A visit to the Petrovaradin Fortress, built during the period of 90 years in the 17th and 18th centuries. This is one of the largest, the most complex and best-preserved bastions in Europe, which is proclaimed a cultural heritage property and a historical complex of great importance. Sightseeing walking tour in the center of Novi Sad: Name of Mary Church, Zmaj Jovina and Dunavska Street, Patriarch’s Palace, the Cathedral Church, and Danube Park. Dinner in a reputable restaurant in the center in Novi Sad. Return to Belgrade in the late evening. Overnight in 4* hotel in Belgrade.

Day 4

Smederevo Fortress – Viminacium Archeological Site – Silver Lake – (BLD) (approx. 150 km)

After breakfast in the hotel, departure to Smederevo, one of the first fortified cities in Europe and the last capital of Medieval Serbia. Visit the Smederevo Fortress which was declared a National Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance and was placed on the tentative list for possible nomination as a World Heritage Site (UNESCO). Afterward, a visit to Viminacium, the largest archaeological site in Serbia. After the lunch, we’ll take you to Silver Lake. Check-in into the hotel and free time for refreshment. Dinner in one of the restaurants near the lake. Overnight at 4* hotel.

Day 5

Silver Lake – Lepenski Vir – Donji Milanovac – Djerdap Gorge – Kladovo (BLD) (approx. 160 km)

After breakfast, departure to Lepenski Vir, an important archeological site with remains of a settlement from the Mesolithic era, with the remains of over 136 houses of early settled hunter-gatherers. Continuing the journey along the Danube river towards Donji Milanovac and visiting „Open Air Gallery“ on Djerdap Lake. Lunch in a beautiful restaurant at the top of a hill. Later, a two-hours long boat ride from Donji Milanovac to Tekije, the most beautiful part of the famous Iron Gate. Afterward, a bus will take the group further from Tekije to Kladovo. Departure to Kladovo, check-in at the 4* hotel on the Danube shore. Dinner in the hotel restaurant. Overnight.

Day 6

Kladovo – Zajecar – Felix Romuliana – Vrnjacka Spa (BLD) (approx. 280 km)

After breakfast at the hotel, departure to Zaječar, where the group will visit the most important sights, including the National Museum, where exhibits from the Felix Romuliana are displayed. Visit Felix Romuliana, an archaeological site near Zajecar which represents the ancient Roman imperial palace which is on the World Heritage List. We’ll also pass through the famous wine region, where we’ll take you to one of the most famous wineries for wine tasting and lunch. Arrival and check-in into a resort in Vrnjacka Spa.  Free time for refreshments. Dinner in one of the restaurants in the spa. Overnight in 4* resort.

Day 7

Vrnjacka Spa – Zica Monastery – Zlatibor (BLD) (approx. 190 km)

After breakfast, departure to Zica Monastery, which was once the seat of the Archbishop (1219–1253), and by tradition the coronational church of the Serbian kings. Although a king could be crowned in any of the churches, he was never considered a true king until he was appointed in the Zica Monastery.

Departure to Zlatibor mountain. Along the way, we’ll stop to Sirogojno, an authentic Serbian village. There we’ll visit an open-air museum with authentic 19th century-households collected from all over the Zlatibor region. The museum was declared a Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance. You’ll have lunch in a traditional restaurant where you’ll taste the most delicious Serbian cuisine.  After arrival at Zlatibor, check-in into the hotel and free time for refreshment. Dinner will be served in one of the mountain restaurants. Overnight at 4* hotel on this beautiful mountain.

Day 8

Zlatibor – Sargan Eight – Mokra Gora – Mecavnik – Zlatibor (BLD) (approx. 90 km)

After early breakfast, an enjoyable journey by old-fashioned train follows. The train is called the „Sargan Eight“ or „Figure of Eight“ which is, actually, the name of a narrow railroad that resembles number eight from bird’s eye view. The large elevation change in so short distance will leave you breathless. Later, arrival at Mokra Gora and visit and lunch in Mecavnik, the authentic village created by the well-known movie director, Emir Kusturica. Way back to Zlatibor and free time in the afternoon. Dinner in one of the restaurants. Overnight at 4* hotel.

Day 9

Zlatibor –Topola –Oplenac –Belgrade (BLD) (approx. 240 km)

Leaving the hotel after early breakfast. Trip to Sumadija, the area in the heart of Serbia. Stop for lunch in an authentic local ambient with a beautiful view of this region. Arrival in Topola. Sightseeing tour of Topola and Oplenac, a hill with summer houses and villas that once belonged to the royal Karadjordjevic Dynasty. You’ll also visit a Memorial Collection of King Peter the First and the Saint George’s Church with the Mausoleum of Karadjordjevic Royal Dynasty located on top of Oplenac Hill. Also, you’ll visit King Peter’s House that has been turned into a gallery. Later, you’ll visit the Town of Karadjordje, the museum dedicated to the First Serbian Uprise. You’ll also visit the Royal Wine Cellar.  We’ll return to Belgrade in the evening hours. Dinner in one of the restaurants. Overnight in 4* hotel in Belgrade.

Day 10

Belgrade – Nikola Tesla Airport (B) approx 20 km

Breakfast at the hotel. Checking out from the hotel. Transfer to the airport.
