Day 1
Belgrade Airport – Belgrade (BD) approx. 25 km
Arrival at Belgrade airport. Meeting at the airport, check-in at the hotel, sightseeing tour of the city: Kalemegdan Fortress, on whose basis already in the 3rd century a Celtic fortification stood, the Republic Square, the Knez-Mihailova Street (the shopping street of Belgrade), Terazije, the Parliament, the Temple of St. Sava. Dinner in the street Skadarlija, the bohemian quarter of Belgrade., where you will taste traditional Serbian food and enjoy in atmosphere with tambourine sounds. Overnight in Belgrade.
Day 2
Belgrade – Novi Sad – Karlovci – Belgrade (BD) approx. 180 km
Breakfast. Departure to Sremski Karlovci, a small baroque town on Fruska Gora mountain, where you can taste the famous wine made only in this area. Sightseeing tour of Sremski Karlovci and its main sights. Visit Petrovaradin Fortress, also known as the “Gibraltar at the Danube”. Trip to Novi Sad and city sightseeing. Dinner in one great restaurant in the center of Novi Sad. Overnight in Belgrade.
Day 3
Belgrade – Oplenac – Topola – Vrnjačka Spa (BL) approx. 150 km
After breakfast, departure to Topola and Oplenac . These places lie in the middle of picturesque landscapes, surrounded by forests and meadows, in Šumadija, in the heart of Serbia. Oplenac was the favorite destination and Karađorđević final resting place of the royal family. Lunch at an authentic restaurant with national cuisine, in beautiful nature. Drive to Vrnjacka Spa. Overnight in Vrnjacka Spa.
Day 4
Vrnjačka Spa – Zlatibor Mountain – Sirogojno – Zlatibor (BL) approx. 200 km
Breakfast at the hotel. Journey to the Zlatibor mountain passing through meadows and hills. Visit one of the many monasteries on the way to Zlatibor. A shortstop in the village Zlakusa. Drive to Sirogojno. Lunch at an authentic restaurant in Siragojno, the Museum Sirogojno. Continue to Zlatibor. Accommodation at the hotel. Overnight in Zlatibor.
Day 5
Zlatibor – Višegrad – Sarajevo (BD) approx. 160 km
After breakfast, the journey to the Mokra Gora Mountain. Driving by the railway called “Sargan Eight”. Short stop in Visegrad – visit the bridge on the Drina. Follows trip to Sarajevo, the city that today rises like a phoenix from the ashes of the last war in the full glory and show its true face. Like nowhere else in the world, Muslims, Catholics, and Orthodox people live together. Check-in at the hotel and dinner at a traditional restaurant where you can experience a relaxed good mood for which Bosnians are well known for. Overnight in Sarajevo.
Day 6
Sarajevo (BD)
After breakfast at the hotel, follows the tour of the main attractions of the city – the Turkish quarter called Baščaršija, the sacred buildings of various faith communities and local coffee houses with their unique atmosphere. Free afternoon. Dinner in a traditional restaurant in Baščaršiija where guests will taste the most famous specialties from this corner of the Balkan Penninsula. Overnight in the hotel in Sarajevo.
Day 7
Sarajevo – Mostar – Trebinje (BD) approx. 220 km
After breakfast, drive to Mostar, a picturesque city on the Neretva river. We will explore the exciting world of oriental quarter Kujundziluk and the rebuilt stone bridge from the 16th Century, which was destroyed in the war in the 90s. The next destination is the beautiful town of Trebinje. Accommodation in a hotel. Dinner in a restaurant with regional specialties. Overnight in Trebinje.
Day 8
Trebinje – Dubrovnik – Herceg Novi – Budva (BD) approx. 150 km
Breakfast at the hotel. Trip to Dubrovnik, the most famous city on the Croatian Adriatic coast, which is on the UNESCO list of world cultural heritage. After a brief city tour, we will continue the trip to Montenegro. In Herceg Novi, we’ll have a short break, when we stroll through the typical Mediterranean streets. Further, we will enjoy in the bay of Boka Kotorska, the southernmost fjord in Europe, named for its beauty by the poets, “the bride of the Adriatic”. Short breaks in Perast and Risan, two charming little coastal towns. Arrive in Kotor and walking through the old neighborhoods that are under the protection of UNESCO. Dinner at a wonderful authentic restaurant in Kotor. Return to Budva. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 9
Budva – Cetinje – Budva (BD) approx. 50 km
After breakfast, we’ll take you to an excursion to Cetinje, a small town in the middle of the Montenegrin karsts area and it is known as the residence of the former Montenegrin state. After degustation of rakija (fruit brandy) and a delicious local snack, we’ll visit the mausoleum of the famous Montenegrin poet and diplomat, Petar Petrovic Njegos. Follows a drive to Budva, where we’ll stroll the old town’s narrow streets, and visit St. Stephen Luxury resort, which was originally a fishing village and now a favorite vacation destination of the jet-set members from all over the world. Return to Budva. Dinner in a fish restaurant in the old part of the city. Overnight in Budva.
Day 10
Budva – Tirana – Ohrid (BD) approx. 320 km
Breakfast. Trip to the capital of Albania – Tirana – which is characterized by a mixture of different architectural styles, urbanism, the mentality and the spirit of the Balkans, the Orient and the Mediterranean. It is a unique city that combines luxurious cars and unpaved roads, dilapidated and new, colorful buildings, poverty and wealth. Follows drive to Ohrid in Macedonia. Dinner at a restaurant on Lake Ohrid. Overnight in Ohrid at the hotel.
Day 11
Ohrid (BD)
City Tour of Ohrid and visit its most important churches. The city is on the UNESCO list of world cultural heritage. This city has the most churches. In the whole area of the city, there are 365 churches and monasteries, which means that you can visit in the course of a year every day a different church. Dinner in a restaurant on Lake Ohrid, followed by music. Overnight in the hotel in Ohrid.
Day 12
Ohrid – Skoplje (BD) approx. 170 km
Trip to Skoplje, the capital of Macedonia. Tour of the city. Dinner in an authentic restaurant in Skopje with typical Macedonian specialties. Overnight at the hotel in Skopje.
Day 13
Skoplje – Nis (BD) approx. 200 km
After breakfast, depart towards Nis, the city on Nisava river. Accommodation at the hotel. City tour and visit of Nis Fortress, a very important cultural monument. Visit of Mediana. Mediana is a very important archeological locality from the Late Roman period. At that time this location was a possession of the Roman emperor. Free time. Dinner in a restaurant with authentic south-Serbian specialties. Overnight in the hotel in Nis.
Day 14
Niš – Belgrade (B)
Breakfast. Departure to Belgrade. Arrival at the airport.
End of program.
