On this fantastic journey, you’ll learn about Serbian culture and traditions, visit several important sites on the UNESCO heritage list, enjoy gorgeous landscapes of Serbia and taste traditional Serbian food. Also, you’ have enough time for shopping.
Day 1:
Belgrade Airport – Belgrade (D) (approx. 20 km)
Arrival at Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport. Warm welcome by your guide and ride to the hotel. Break for refreshment and free time. Breakfast in the hotel. Visiting the Belgrade fortress, the Ružica Church and the Chapel of St.Petka. After a visit to St. Marko’s Church we are off to visit the biggest Orthodox church in the Balkans, St. Sava’s Temple. Free time for shoping in Knez Mihajlova Street. Dinner in a restaurant. Overnight.
Day 2
Belgrade – Manasija – Ravanica – Vrnjačka Banja (BL) (approx. 230 km)
After breakfast, departure to Manasija Monastery (15th century) and Monastery Ravanica (14th century). Monastery Manasija was built by Stefan Lazarevic and monastery Ravanica by prince Lazar who died in the Battle of Kosovo in 1389 Stefan was his son, and after his father’s death, his sister had to become the wife of the sultan who killed his father! After the big battle in Nicopolis in 1396, he came back to Serbia, became an ally of Hungarian king Sigismund and became the knight of the Order of the Dragon.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant next to the Lisine Waterfall near the Manasija monastery. Departure to Vrnjačka Spa. Accommodation. Overnight.
Day 3:
Vrnjačka Spa – Žiča monastery – Studenica monastery (BL) (approx. 82 km)
Departure to the Žiča Monastery where seven of Serbian kings from the Nemanjić dynasty were crowned (12th – 14th centuries). After that, we’ll continue to Studenica Monastery (12th century), which is on the UNESCO heritage list. Dinner at the Studenica Monastery. Overnight in the monastery quarters.
Day 4: Studenica Monastery (BD)
Breakfast at the Studenica Monastery. You have the whole day time at leisure to enjoy the monastery piece and its surroundings. Dinner and overnight at monastery quarters.
Day 5:
Studenica – Topola Oplenac – Novi Sad (BL) (approx. 307 km)
Departure towards Novi Sad, drive through Šumadija region, the hart of Serbia. Arrival to Topola. Visit to the Karađorđević dynasty complex (19-20th centuries). Visit a museum and the Mausoleum church of the Karađorđević on the Oplenac Hill. This church is unique with its mosaics. Lunch in a traditional restaurant. Departure to Novi Sad. Arrival to Novi Sad in late evening. Check-in at the hotel and overnight.
Day 6:
Novi Sad and Petrovaradin Fortress – Inđija Fashion Park – Belgrade (BL) (approx. 120 km)
After breakfast, we’ll take you for a walk through the city center. Then, we’ll visit the Petrovaradin fortress on the other bank of the Danube river. Departure to Sremski Karlovci, a small baroque town. Continue to Krušedol Monastery and another monastery at Fruška Gora mountain. Lunch in a traditional restaurant. Continue to the popular outlet center in Inđija. Arrival to Belgrade in the evening.
Day 7: Belgrade (BD)
Breakfast. Optional boat tour. Visiting one of the biggest shopping centers in the city. Serbian night with dinner and interesting folklore program.
8 day:
Belgrade – Belgrade airport
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Free time until departure to the airport.
